10,689 residents of Lviv Oblast fell ill with SARS during the past week

According to the monitoring of the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections in the population of Lviv region, in the 43rd week of 2023 (October 23-October 29), 10,689 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in Lviv region (426.4 per 100,000 population) against 10,428 cases (416.0 per 100,000 population) in the previous week – an increase in incidence by 2.4%.

The intensive morbidity indicator for the 43rd week is 1.8% lower than the epidemic threshold of 434.07.

In the structure of morbidity, the specific weight of children under the age of 17 was 50% — 5,344 people.

An unfavorable epidemic situation is noted in the territory of the Horodotsk OTG, where the intensive indicator is 12.2% higher than the epidemic threshold (the intensive indicator per 100 thousand population is 867.4, with epidoporosis - 773.0).


The virological laboratory of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention did not detect influenza viruses when examining material samples from patients with symptoms of a cold.


3,704 people were vaccinated against influenza in the Lviv region.


During the 43rd week, 435 people fell ill with the acute respiratory disease of COVID-19. No fatalities were registered.

69 patients were receiving inpatient treatment.

1,102,655 people were vaccinated against coronavirus with one dose, 1,038,775 people received the second dose, 202,642 people received the first booster, and 20,672 residents of the Lviv Region received the second booster.
