80% of cafes, bars and restaurants in Lviv comply with the ban on smoking indoors - results of all-Ukrainian public monitoring
Olga Brezetska, deputy general director of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, was invited to participate in the round table "Presentation of the monitoring of cafes, bars and restaurants in Lviv regarding compliance with the law "On the prohibition of smoking"
In autumn, the Lviv Regional CDC, in cooperation with the NGO "Zhyttia", the Department of Education and Science, the Department of Health of the Lviv Oblast, with the support of the WHO Bureau in Ukraine, implemented the "Schools without nicotine and tobacco" project in 10 schools of the Lviv region
Olga Brezetska: "We involved young people, students of grades 9-11, in measures against nicotine and tobacco. We conducted information campaigns, conducted webinars, created a series of posters that were placed in schools. The effectiveness of these measures has been confirmed - the attitude of young people to smoking has changed. Now we have chosen 10 more schools and will continue this information activity"
