Acute respiratory viral infections


According to the monitoring of the morbidity of the population of Lviv region by the Lviv regional center for disease control and prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for acute respiratory viral infections, in the 6th week of 2023 (February 6, 2023-February 12, 2023), 9,249 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in Lviv region (369.0 per 100,000 population) compared to 7,961 cases (317.6 per 100,000 population) in the previous week - an increase in incidence by 14.0%. The intensive morbidity indicator for week 6 is 15.0% lower than the epidemic threshold of 434.07. In the structure of morbidity, the specific weight of children under the age of 17 was 50.0% - 4,621 persons. Since the beginning of the epidemic season, the circulation of influenza viruses has been determined in 1,071 cases, including 1,063 influenza A viruses, 8 influenza B viruses, as well as rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, RS-viruses, metapneumoviruses, and parainfluenza viruses were detected.

13,072 people were vaccinated against influenza in the Lviv region.

During the 6th week, 7,920 tests for COVID-19 were conducted, of which 537 were positive, compared to 257 in the previous week. 1 fatal case from COVID-19 was registered during the week. 183 patients are in the hospital. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 325,954 cases have been registered in Lviv Oblast. Lethal - 6857.

1,092,245 people were vaccinated against coronavirus with one dose, 1,031,890 people received the second dose, 187,734 people received the first booster, and 12,578 residents of Lviv Oblast received the second booster.
