Specialists of the Sambir District Department of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, together with specialists from the Center for Primary Health Care of the Sambir City Council, joined the family festival, which was co-organized by the Lviv Regional Office of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the "Kids" charitable foundation.
Epidemiologists and hygienists of the Center talked about the importance of vaccination.
Special attention was paid to the "catch-up" campaign for children aged 2-17 years who missed vaccination against measles, mumps and rubella, which should be caught up.
They also talked about the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, signs of a stroke.
We summarize the events during the "Family for Every Child" festival:
30 children and adults were vaccinated against infectious diseases at vaccination points in Sambor (KNP CPMSD SMR, FOP KRAVCHENKO, FOP KOZYCH)
42 people had their blood pressure measured and received recommendations from doctors
38 people determined their body mass index (BMI) and received expert advice on the basics of healthy eating and the need for physical activity
The blood glucose level of 30 people was determined by the express method. And they also talked about diabetes and its complications
held a master class on hygienic processing (washing) of hands.
