General Director of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention Nataliya Ivanchenko told Hromadske Radio about this.
"Over the course of a week in Lviv Oblast, we have more than 10,700 people who applied for SARS (9,100 in the previous week), that is, the number of people who fell ill and sought help increased by 14%."
During the virological examination of people who had symptoms of a cold, influenza viruses were not detected in any case.
"Coronavirus, adenovirus, and rotavirus are circulating at the same time today, but flu viruses have not yet been detected.
Among the people who fell ill with a cold, exactly 50% are children up to and including 17 years old.
Also, in the last week, about half a thousand people fell ill with COVID-19 in the Lviv Region, 55 of them were hospitalized.
