According to the monitoring of the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections in the population of Lviv region, in the 46th week of 2023 (November 13-19), 10,990 cases of SARS were registered in Lviv region (446.8 per 100,000 population) against 10,436 cases (424 .3 per 100,000 population) for the previous week – an increase in morbidity by 5.0%.
For the 46th week, the intensive indicator of SARS, including COVID-19, is 2.9% higher than the epidemic threshold of 434.07, which corresponds to the average level of epidemic activity of SARS.
In the structure of morbidity, the specific weight of children under the age of 17 was 51.1% — 5,611 people.
The virological laboratory of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, while examining material samples from patients with influenza-like illnesses by the PCR method, detected the influenza A virus in 1 case.
Since the beginning of the epidemic season, 5,727 people have been vaccinated against influenza in the Lviv region, of which 2,796 are people from the medical and epidemic risk group.
426 people fell ill with the acute respiratory disease COVID-19, compared to 389 in the previous week. The coronavirus took the lives of 3 people over 69 years old.
During the 45th week, 57 patients were in inpatient treatment versus 68 patients.
1,102,787 people were vaccinated against coronavirus with one dose, 1,038,833 people received the second dose, 202,837 people received the first booster, and 21,021 residents of Lviv Oblast received the second booster.
