This is a post of gratitude

To everyone who took part in the "Stand on guard of your heart" Conference, which is about 200 participants. First of all, we would like to thank Maksym Kozytsky, the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, for supporting the idea of holding and being personally present. After all, the topic is extremely important. After the ceremonial opening, a panel discussion was held in which Maksym Kozytskyi - head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Orest Chemerys - acting rector of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, acting director of the Department of Health Protection of the Lviv Regional State Administration Nataliya Litvinska, associate professor Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University Dmytro Besh, acting Director General of the Lviv Regional Information and Analytical Center for Medical Statistics Maryana Sluzhynska. Director General of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Natalia Ivanchenko and Dmytro Kupyra of the NGO "Life" moderated.

They talked about personal practices of a healthy lifestyle, about bad habits, about food in the family, about physical activity, including among employees of collectives. I talked about the statistical indicators of the incidence of cardiovascular diseases in the world, in Ukraine and in the Lviv Region. About leading risk factors and ways to overcome them. Nataliya Litvinska outlined the routes of patients with cardiovascular pathology in the Lviv region. Dmytro Besh spoke about the first symptoms of heart attacks, strokes and the first steps to be taken when symptoms appear, about the "golden hours". Olga Brezetska talked about healthy eating and overcoming iodine deficiency. Dmytro Kupyra very emotionally told that there is no such thing as safe smoking. Andriy Bazylevych talked about physical activity for everyone. By the way - 30 minutes every day, the norm for everyone to move!!! Maryana Sluzhynska reminded the audience that even tasting alcohol is not beneficial (this, of course, upset many). Her bright report on the topic There is no safe dose of alcohol did not leave anyone indifferent. Victoria Sergienko, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Endocrinology, Vice-Rector for Research at the Lviv National Medical University on the topic Diabetes mellitus: prevention and detection was incredibly interesting and bright. Everyone present was able to determine step by step their risk of developing diabetes and received information on preventive measures. Iryna Hnativ presented to the audience how it is possible to use the example of the community to implement measures to prevent non-communicable diseases, including diabetes. A pleasant bonus for everyone was the master class - cardiovascular resuscitation led by Lyudmila Hera of the Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine

All participants received handouts and links to videos that can be used in communities for the noble goal of reducing the number of heart attacks and strokes. After all, every life is priceless and worth fighting for.
