Washing machines can be a source of infection. Tips for safe washing

Due to washing at low temperatures, the washing machine becomes an ideal environment for many pathogens of infectious diseases

The washing machine can cause infection with pediculosis, worm infestations, fungal, intestinal and other dangerous infectious diseases.

Most often, microorganisms live in the compartments and on the doors of washing machines

One of the most favorite washing modes among housewives is "quick washing" - it helps to save time, but does not kill the pathogens of infectious diseases, because it is in this mode that clothes are washed at low temperatures. So the car becomes an ideal place for their reproduction.

Tips for safe washing:

1. Proper care of the machine

The drum of the machine must be thoroughly dried after each wash - for this, leave the door open. The container into which we add detergents must be rinsed and wiped dry every time.

2. Correct dosage and use of high-quality detergents

Detergent can accumulate in the drum if too much is used. Low-quality washing powder may not completely dissolve in water, and as a result – stick to the drum or under the rubber cuff. It is necessary to correctly dose the detergent.

3. Periodically wash at high temperatures

If you constantly wash in cool water at a temperature of 30-40 C, microbes will "settle" in the machine. Their main enemy is high temperature.

4. Do not store dirty laundry in the drum

Dirty things are an ideal environment for the reproduction of microorganisms. But, in addition, some parts of the washing machine can absorb unpleasant odors emitted by dirty laundry.

5. Correct installation of the machine

If the machine is installed incorrectly, the tightness of various connections may be broken. In addition, the hose may be incorrectly selected. Both the first and the second reason can lead to the fact that, over time, a sewer smell will be felt.
